CURRENT VACANCIES

  • Mona Farm is seeking casual Housekeepers to assist with delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring accommodation and communal areas are impeccably clean, organised, and inviting. Reporting to the Housekeeping Managers, this role upholds Mona Farm's reputation for excellence by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

    The position is casual and may require work at both onsite and offsite locations as rostered.

    Responsibilities

    Housekeeping & Presentation

    • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations, communal areas, and amenities to the highest standards, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

    • Perform daily housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sanitising surfaces, and replenishing amenities.

    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure consistent quality and report any maintenance issues promptly.

    • Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies, cleaning products, toiletries, and other inventory to ensure guest comfort and operational readiness.

    • Handle laundry services as required, including washing, drying, and pressing linens to maintain high standards.

    Guest Service & Experience

    • Respond professionally to guest requests, providing prompt assistance and ensuring their needs are met.

    • Support VIP and private event preparations, ensuring accommodation and communal spaces align with event requirements.

    • Maintain discretion and professionalism while working in guest-occupied spaces.

    Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

    • Adhere to workplace health and safety protocols, including proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.

    • Follow hygiene and sanitation standards to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe environment.

    • Support sustainability initiatives by minimising waste, recycling, and conserving energy and water.

    • Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance concerns to management.

    Team Collaboration & Operational Support

    • Work collaboratively with housekeeping team members, managers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

    • Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate cleaning schedules, room turnovers, and special requests.

    • Participate in team meetings, pre-shift briefings, and training sessions to ensure alignment on housekeeping standards and expectations.

    • Assist with stock management, including inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed.

  • The Restaurant / Venue Manager role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage services at Mona Farm, Cedar Lodge, and Provisions Deli & Creperie and The Albion. This role ensures the efficient, friendly, and professional delivery of food and beverage services across all guest experiences, while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency. The position also involves managing staff, coordinating events, maintaining relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

    This is a permanent role located in Braidwood, NSW.

    Responsibilities

    Operational Management:

    • Oversee daily food and beverage operations, ensuring efficient and professional service to all guests.

    • Coordinate Front of the House and Back of the House operations for events across Mona Farm.

    • Actively participate in events and cafe front of house wait staff teams.

    • Oversee food-related activities that enhance guest experiences (workshops, classes, food tours, etc.).

    • Deliver front of house service for in-house dining experiences, including guest house meals and chef-catered lunches and dinners.

    • Ensure the successful delivery of food and beverage services during weddings, private, and corporate events.

    • Set up and pack down event spaces per the event brief.

    Team Leadership & Staff Management:

    • Manage barista duties, including coffee preparation and barista training.

    • Ensure quality, innovation, and creativity are maintained in service offerings.

    • Engage with the local community and provide training to upskill local labour.

    • Create and manage forecasted, costed rosters and weekly staff schedules.

    • Lead staff training on customer service best practices and operational protocols.

    • Foster a positive work environment, providing exceptional leadership and motivation to team members.

    • Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to company standards.

    Inventory & Supplier Management:

    • Maintain a fully stocked inventory and manage food and beverage supply ordering.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, including wine and spirits vendors.

    • Monitor and maintain operational costs, identifying measures to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

    • Regularly review product quality and collaborate with Senior Management on vendor selection and menu improvements.

    Customer Service & Event Management:

    • Ensure superior service delivery to maximise customer satisfaction.

    • Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally.

    • Actively engage with guests to gather feedback on their experience and identify opportunities for improvement.

    • Promote Mona Farm’s brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and events.

    Compliance & Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) and other regulatory policies.

    • Maintain adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.

    • Promote sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, and water and energy conservation.

    • Monitor the safe use, handling, and storage of equipment, tools, and chemicals.

    • Proactively report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to management.

    Financial Management & Reporting:

    • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses for the Hospitality Director and General Manager.

    • Maintain budgets and track expenditures to ensure financial targets are met.

    • Monitor operational costs and develop strategies to optimise resource use and reduce waste.

    Administrative & Miscellaneous Duties:

    • Perform administrative duties as required, including end-of-shift till reporting.

    • Ensure the continued implementation of policies and protocols to sustain future operations.

    • Assist with event and guest preparations, ensuring that all facilities and outdoor spaces meet required standards.

    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on maintenance best practices and safety protocols.

    Other Duties:

    • Support other responsibilities as assigned by Mona Farm management.
